Oh Pinky Pie! So many ways to say I love you for being the random, happy, dance-y, giddy, bust-out-into-song-cartoony thing that you are... >^.^<

I will add more description later but I am tired. I just did all 6 ponies in only a few days after not drawing for months. *yawns* so I am gonna go curl into bed but when I come back tomorrow I will change description and reply to comments.

Of course all done on x-press it blending card with BIC Mechanical pencil then Copic SP Multi-Liners and Copic Sketch Markers

1: I absolutely ADORE your icon way too cute. 2: THANK YOU all of my RV copics have been running dangerously low and until I get more commissions in there isn't much I can do about it so when I came to Pinky I was worried I wouldn't have enough ink left in my various RVs to not only color her authentically BUT also do so with my usual polish. So I really appreciate you liking the coloring. Seriously. >^.^<

LOL I became a copic addict- I started with the originals and then went to the 'Sketches' cause they are cheaper- and I love them. My girlfriend and I joke that the only thing she has to fight with for my attention is my Copics so now and then I tell her "I love you, more than Copic" and she puts on a fake surprise act. >^.^<

I do recommend them for an investment piece. BUT- shop. around. the. internet! You can find some good deals on Mom-and-Pop website/stores and get totally ripped off on places like AMAZON/EBAY. My collection started with 10 grey tone originals... I now have about 162 sketch markers and 40 of the 'ink refills' because you can well- refill them. a $5 refill gives you 10 sketch markers worth of ink so instead of rebuying a color 10 times at $4 a pop- you see the appeal.

Also you can find people like me who sell off their recently refilled 'doubles' (I didn't KNOW about refills for a long time. So I have about 20-30 'doubles' of my markers I refilled and replaced the nibs on so they are like brand new I wanna sell cheaply to someone who wants to start using them)

Oh yush, I know I need to do some research.. o.o; lots of it to.. Huh, thought ebay would have been good. Refills?! O.O Well I'm glad I asked you.. I didn't even KNOW that the markers had refills ^.^;

LOL yeah I didn't know they did either until way later. You can find the markers (I use the sketches) for $4.95- $7.99 each... the Refills I buy are nearly always $5.25-$5.99 each BUT it's 25 CCs of ink that can refill a single sketch marker 15 times. So it's worth it. I just ordered 6 new markers but once I've gotten them I don't think I'll be purchasing new colors for a while and just buy the refills.

ALSO! The nibs are replaceable so if they wear out or something- I've had some markers for 5 full years and I've not had to replace a nib on them. I've only bought 2 packages of the superbrush nibs (packs of 3) and I've only used 3... I use the superbrush side 90% of the time. So- QUALITY.

For great shopping sites with awesome customer service I usually go to-

dickblick.com between the 3 I find the best prices and yeah it means I am placing 3 orders but Creativeplay doesn't always charge for shipping, and CopicMarkerS is reasonable.

I agree- practice, practice, practice. But start your collection a few colours here and there when you can but get things that blend together that you can't use say other markers for like... skin tones. E000 Pale Fruit Pink E00skin white, E21 Babyskin Pink, E11 Barley Beige- I use ALL THE TIME but if you can only get 2? E00 Skin White and E21 Baby Skin Pink was where I started. >^.^<
