Love Makes You Crazy

Harley Quinn, I haven't drawn her in a long time not this Harley. I avoided it after I tried to start over again (long story short, bad advice + worse judgement and not the soundest mind= not good) but I love Harley, the Harley I knew and love and grew up with. Wanting to do her justice I started looking at all of the wonderful Harley Cosplayers I know and love. But then I came across some images that turns out to be a Harley who knows my friend Kid Remmington and I nearly died when she said I was allowed to use her work. The Face is a mix of the 'classic' Harley with a realistic twist (the costume I admit lacks a lifelike appearance I need to get better at drawing spandex) BUT with my own twist on the Manga style "reference" background and the pose costume main Harley insperation is the WONDERFUL supersaz.deviantart.com/ go look at her stuff OMG one of the best Harley cosplayers out there!

I wanted some kind of a background and thankfully I came up with something that would look good next to Ivy in my book and this was the result. Also I got practice on guns... I hate drawing guns. Oy. BUT this is all to be in honour of the things that inspired me to become an artist, the background is similar to the mashups you see in Manga panels of certain characters in closeups- while the pose convays Harley's sweetness and yet... that smirk. It was Bruce Timm's wok in the DCAU that made me get back into comics when I was a kid so it really is "this is what I learned from" <3
