He is Iron Man

I started this Tony for Free Comic Book Day 2013 but I never got a chance to finish him. Months later at Boston Comic Con a girl saw him and fell in love, he was only inked and partially coloured but she wanted him. So I took him home, finished him and sent him off to her. He has since arrived safe and sound and I'm so thrilled with how happy she is with the end results because frankly I'm over the moon too!

It gave me a hearty LOL at FCBD where my friend Mike who was next to us said "How great is Google!?" and he pulls out a blank varient cover with the same image of course in his style and we had a good laugh. We arent the only ones who have done RDJ in this pose but I just loved it and I really wanted to work on my mechenery and armour and this seemed like a great oppertunity!


Done on X-Press It Blending Card with Ebony & BIC Mechanical Pencil, Faber & Castell Dust Free Vinyl Eraser, Copic SP Multi-Liner (blacks) Copic Multi-Liners (Sepia) and Copic Sketch for color and some silver gel pen to add some grey into his hair Shh!. Total Time: 25 hours
