WOAH! Another Rainbow Dash? SO QUICKLY!? I know I said I wouldn't be doing more ponies after I finished the Princesses for a while (and Derpy, AND Doctor Whooves) but there is a reason for it. I NEVER repeat a pose in a year for my con book and at Boston Comic Con RD sold out. Prints AND the original.
Now Dashy was the first pony I drew that was cannon so she wasn't up to par with the other ladies (ie: look at the level of detail in Rarity's mane... now look at my original Dashy... see?) I wanted to improve that put more attitude into this one and what better way than making it look like she's about to take off?
Oh Google Image Search you are my hero 9 outta 10 times but this was done while watching the Running of the Leaves episode/ Iron Pony thing... not remembering the name off the top of my head. the expression is one I've come across a few times. But I had to do it!
SO PROUD of how the mane and tail came out. The little fleck in the orange part of her mane is from my scanner NOT the original.
Yeah, I know her cuite mark got flubbed. I'm rushing. sorry.
X-Press It Blending Card with Copic SP Multi-Liner over Bic Mechanical Pencil and Copic Sketch Marker took about 4.5 hours total 2.5 was spent on colouring mostly finding the right blends and wanting to give it shine.
